Food Policy Council Created

Backus Hospital — together with United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, F.R.E.S.H. New London, TVCCA and others — announced the creation of the New London County Food Policy Council Monday. The event, held at the Gemma A. Moran United Way Labor Food Center, was attended by U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney. The council is “a partnership for food, nutrition and well being.
