NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital Frederick S. Eadie Birthing Center will host a parents-to-be open house on Monday, July 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby conference rooms at 326 Washington Street in Norwich.
NORWICH – United Community and Family Services (UCFS) and The William W. Backus Hospital will present a free health program on family planning on May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Community Room at the Edward and Mary Lord Family Health Center at UCFS, 47 Town Street in Norwich.
NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital will host a free Community Baby Shower on Tuesday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the hospital’s main lobby conference rooms.

Brandon Jin Tan came into the world on Monday, Jan. 2 at 7:05 p.m. Born to parents Karen Lam and Zhen Tan of Norwich, the baby boy was Backus’ first baby of 2012. Delivered by David Kalla, MD, the bundle of joy weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz.
