The 29th Annual Backus Golf Tournament
The 29th Annual Backus Golf Tournament was held at Elmridge Golf Course, in Pawcatuck on June 10. Proceeds from this tournament will be used to support a multitude of community health education programs to help people lead healthier lives.

Circles of Care - Raising more than dollars
Please help support the Backus Initiative to
Improve Breast Health by purchasing a Circle of Care.
Beginning May 1, 2010
People can buy $1 Pink Circles in honor of people they know impacted by cancer. The circles will be available in the Backus Gift Shop and the cafeteria, as well as many local businesses. They are then hung in prominent locations in the hospital and throughout the community.
100% of the funds raised from the purchase of Backus Circles of Care will be used for the benefit of patients in our community.

Backus began its Circle of Care campaign in support of the Breast Health Initiative Wednesday, April 21 with a kickoff celebration at CORE Plus Federal Credit Union in Norwich. As they have in the past two years, representatives from CORE Plus purchased the first pink circles as part of the event, which was last year’s single largest fundraiser.
