New name, same support for our hospital

You may have noticed a change in the name of our office. Instead of Backus Foundation, Inc., we are now known as the Office of Philanthropy and Development. This change to become an integrated department of The William W. Backus Hospital reflects our desire to more clearly communicate the purpose of the charitable giving program at Backus.

Our philanthropic mission is the same as always: to solicit and receive contributions on behalf of The William W. Backus Hospital. And our commitment to stewarding gifts appropriately in support of our community's health remains unchanged.

Gifts may be made payable to Backus Hospital and directed to the Office of Philanthropy and Development, Backus Hospital, 326 Washington Street, Norwich CT 06360. (Checks made payable to "Backus Foundation" are still valid.)
