Colchester Backus Health Center welcomes new provider

COLCHESTER – Stephen Kaye, MD, has joined the healthcare staff at the Colchester Backus Health Center at 163 Broadway. He will begin seeing patients Tuesday, Jan 3.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Backus family and the Colchester community,” said Dr. Kaye. “I am also looking forward to meeting my new colleagues and patients. I bring with me my philosophy that every patient I see is the most important person in the world. This has served me well in the past, and I trust it will in the future.”
A primary care physician, Dr. Kaye will manage the health needs of adults including, disease prevention and management, and health promotion and maintenance. He helps round out a variety of services already offered at the Colchester Backus Health Center including urgent care, occupational health, lab, X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CAT scan and MRI.
Dr. Kaye has more than 30 years of practice experience with specialties in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine and is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut
Dr. Kaye enjoys an active lifestyle outside of his practice. His is a passionate sailor, enjoys swimming, bicycling and skiing.
