Backus, ECHO Cancer Foundation bring award-winning artwork to community
April 22, 2013
NORWICH – The William W. Backus Hospital, in partnership with Eastern Connecticut Hematology Oncology (ECHO) and the ECHO Cancer Foundation will host the Lilly Oncology on Canvas art exhibition from Friday, May 24 through Friday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital’s Medical Office Building at 330 Washington Street in Norwich.
Established by Lilly Oncology, the art exhibition honors the journeys people face when they’re confronted by a cancer diagnosis. Award winning entries from Lilly Oncology’s 2012 art competition are now touring the country. Fifty prints of original artwork made by those affected by cancer will rotate through the hallway outside of ECHO, on the second floor of Backus Hospital’s Medical Office Building, and in the crossway between the hospital and the Medical Office Building.
The public is invited to tour this free exhibit.
