Backus to Hold Free Community Talk on Advance Directives and Palliative Care

NORWICH—Backus Hospital will host a free community education program called “Make Your Wishes Known: All about Advance Directives and Palliative Care” on Wednesday, March 4 from 6:30 to 8pm in the Backus Hospital main lobby conference at 326 Washington Street in Norwich.
Presenters Paige Woodruff, RN, BSN, Backus Community Case Manager and Suzanne Smith, LCSW, Backus Palliative Care program Coordinator will lead a discussion on the importance of advance directives – how and why you need them—and how palliative care can help people with serious illnesses.
