Bio
Ali Irshad, MD, is a vascular surgeon with the Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute.
His areas of interest include repair of complex thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, mesenteric vascular disease, pulmonary embolism and venous occlusive disease.
Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Spanish, he is a member of the International Society of Vascular Surgery, Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery and Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society.
Dr. Irshad earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Worcester Medical School and completed a residency in vascular surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital’s Michael Debakey Heart and Vascular Institute. He also completed the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship through the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
