Living in Norwich

Norwich also known as “The Rose of New England” was founded in 1659 is a historic city in New London County, Connecticut. Here is where the Yantic, Shetucket, and Quinebaug rivers combine to form the Thames (locals pronounce it Thaymes) River.

  • Mohegan Sun Casino is resort run by the Mohegan tribe. They have over 40 different dining options, night clubs, a luxury spa and golf course, and plays host to major events in summer such as the New England Food Truck Festival.
  • Foxwoods Resort and Casino is run by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. They offers array of gaming in seven casinos, world renowned spas, state-of-the-art theaters, exclusive retailers.
  • Mystic Seaport is only 30 minutes away and is a great place for you to enjoy nautical and maritime day. The village and ships are a true living history museum with boat building and rope making that started from the 19th century.
  • Norwich is always one hour and 30 minutes away from Boston, MA and New York, NY. Making for a great weekend getaway to explore a neighboring state.
