Objectives:
1) Aortic Valve Disease
- Aortic Stenosis in the Elderly
- Current therapies for severe AS and new transcatheter treatments for AS.
- Review clinical trial results and ongoing clinical trials at HH for transcatheter AVR.
2) Mitral Valve Disease
- Mitral balloon valvuloplasty for rheumatic mitral stenosis.
- Emerging therapies for severe MR in surgically inoperable patients- future trials at HH.
3) Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion for patients with AF who cannot tolerate anticoagulation.
4) Adult Congenital Heart disease- catheter based treatment options for ASD/VSD/PDA/Coarctations.
5) PFO and cryptogenic stroke- update on recent clinical trials.
