Backus Hospital offers a safe and convenient location called The Transition Lounge where you can wait for your ride following your discharge from the hospital.
Using The Transition Lounge
On the day you are scheduled to leave the hospital, we ask that you please have your ride home to arrive by 10:00 AM. If your ride home is unable to be here by that time, we offer a safe, convenient location, called The Transition Lounge where you can wait for your ride following your discharge from the hospital.
When you are ready to transition home from the hospital, a team member will transport you from your room to the Lounge in preparation for your departure. A team member will also stay with you while you wait for your ride and safely deliver you to your ride when it arrives.
If necessary, a team member can also help arrange a ride service home for you.
